but no really I eat this shit up please feel free to dump exposition at me anytimeno subject
I can dump so much exposition at you, though. Then, if it's okay, I'll start with a quick summary of the original antagonist faction, the Erasers:
The actual motivations behind the Erasers are a mystery, though the manga kind of subtly hints that the primary objective of the Erasers is actually to eliminate Mindbreakers. However, as Mindbreakers became more and more common, it became clear that there wasn't much of a way to keep them under control: Towards the end of Saga 1 (roughly the time of Juvenile Orion), the Erasers made some very public assaults on major cities around the world, prompting the four factions to finally stop fighting each other long enough to actually do something about them, ultimately pushing them back and forcing the Erasers to retreat, leaving most of the angels behind. At least until Saga 3 came along.
The Erasers themselves are made up of about three major "sub-factions" within them: Aliens, Angels, and Dragons.
Led by the alien known as Rayuu, the aliens are technically the leaders of the fleet, and are the source of most of the high-technology of the Eraser fleet. Among other things, they include battleships designed to target specific types of psychics. Perhaps the most notable thing however, is their prevalence of cyborgs. Why is this worth noting? Most of the cyborgs? Were human at some point. The majority of the Eraser cyborgs are made by abducting normal human beings and putting in invasive implants that basically give Erasers control over them, in addition to anything else they add in.
The angels of course, are the most obvious sub-faction in the Erasers, to the point that the name for the angel race is in fact "eraser". For the most part, angels tend to be genderless entities, and generally lack emotions, being essentially tools of mass destruction. In practice of course, that tends to change upon contact with a Mindbreaker, and a great deal of angels were left behind when the Eraser fleet retreated, eventually joining up with one of the factions. Though I mentioned that they're "gender-neutral", that's actually something that's fluid: Several angels have changed genders several times, so it seems that angels that get "broken" naturally take on the gender more appealing to the Mindbreaker.
Lucifer is the most notorious gender-swapper, having changed genders at least once per Saga. Finally, the dragons. Before the Polestar Empire was a thing, Dragons were one of the things the Erasers were known for. They're lead by the dragon princess, who has a name that defies romanization (romanizing it comes up something like i'Aris?). The dragon princess is actually capable of taking a humanoid form, though her normal size is... roughly the size of Godzilla. There's some indication that she can take on a smaller size as needed, though in general, the dragons are the sub-group I have the least information about.
And now for some extra related stuff: The EGO faction was formed roughly around 1900, and was explicitly formed to counter the eventual Eraser invasion. The Polestar Empire includes an alternate universe version of Rayuu in their faction, part of the nation of Lemuria.
[I'm sorry, I'll stop with the exposition today, really.]

I had the Juvenile Orion manga series at one point too, except for some reason one or two of the books was missing half the book, so.
I may be a little addicted.
