Memory: "It was fun. Hanging out with you, that is."

Description: Fade stands surrounded by rubble on the roof of a skyscraper. The handsome man from her last memory stands nearby, poised as though guarding her. Behind them, a crying teenage girl is chained to a pair of twisted I-beams. The three of them are watching the end of a battle in front of them. It looks like it was rather one-sided: a teenage boy with black, leathery wings lies on the ground bleeding as a hulking man with claws and fangs stands over his body, completely untouched and looking unimpressed.
The crying girl straightens and says something - "Awaken...Bael!" - and the boy on the ground suddenly begins to transform. With a burst of light and the sounds of ripping flesh and crunching bone, a demon stands in his place while the others gaze on in awe. In a flash of movement, "Bael" sends his opponent flying across the roof into a metal fence, both of them crumpling upon impact. The other man coughs in pain, blood trickling from his mouth...that quickly turns up in a smirk.
"I didn't know you were an evil god. Now I'm interested." Pushing himself off the ground and into a practiced crouch, he pauses to throw a grin over his shoulder, meeting Fade's eyes. "Master! It was fun. Hanging out with you, that is."
The handsome man yells out after him in vain, but Fade can only stare in numb shock as he launches himself at the god with a last burst of strength...
...and is crushed in an instant, the creature's claws ripping through his chest like nothing. The memory ends as the body collapses to the ground in a splatter of blood.

-any hopes that her life was not as crazy as everyone else's have gone out the window
-the muscular man with claws and fangs and a stupid spiky mullet is named "Ama-Inu" and she's...his master?so basically she had a very big pet dog
-whatever fight they were having was going very well for Ama-Inu until the crying girl did...something and apparently awakened an EVIL FUCKING GOD OH OKAY MAYBE THAT'S WHY THEY'RE FIGHTING???
-that last blow didn't look very survivable :( Ama-Inu why :( :( :(
-for the most part you can't get an emotional read off of this memory except for the moment immediately following Ama-Inu's final line: a numb sense of disbelief, confusion, and an inkling of fear for what's about to happen. there is a weirdly innate, soul-deep understanding that he is On Her Side and they are connected in some way...and that connection will be painfully lost if he dies. this knowledge is somehow made utterly, infinitely worse by his final words. whatever she might have been expecting him to say, "I had fun with you" was not it.
